Hemp essential oil is steam-distilled from the flower to capture its aromatic terpene compounds, in the same process used for lavender or peppermint essential oil — chemically and functionally distinct from both pressed hemp seed oil (a food/cosmetic oil) and CBD extract (a cannabinoid concentrate). This is a genuinely separate product, not another name for either.

Common questions
- Is hemp essential oil the same as CBD oil?
- No — essential oil is steam-distilled for aroma compounds (terpenes) and generally contains negligible cannabinoids. CBD oil is extracted specifically for its cannabinoid content. They serve different purposes entirely.
