Why formulators choose hemp as a carrier
As a carrier oil, hemp seed oil dilutes concentrated essential oils and actives to safe application strength while contributing its own omega-3 and omega-6 fatty-acid profile to the finished blend — unlike fully inert carriers, it's doing double duty.
It's a standard base for massage oils, facial serums, and aromatherapy blends, and pairs well with our winterized grade where visual clarity matters.

- Is hemp seed oil a good carrier oil?
- Yes — its fatty-acid profile is well suited to skin, it has a light texture, and it absorbs reasonably well, which is why it's a common choice for massage oils, serums, and essential-oil dilution.
- Should I use winterized or standard hemp oil as a carrier?
- Winterized, if your product needs to stay visually clear in cold storage or transport — otherwise our standard cold-pressed grade works well for most carrier applications.
